How I stumble to this dish?

I sought an ideal family dinner that wouldn’t keep me in the kitchen for long. Spending quality time with my family is something I cherish deeply. While I love pampering them with my cooking, I also prioritize being with them. I’ve mastered the art of balancing time between cooking and enjoying moments together.

How to make Turkey Mushroom Sliders?

Creating these sliders is incredibly simple and absolutely delicious. They are my go-to recipe whenever I’m short on time for cooking.

Here are the ingredients that you gonna need to make this sliders. More detailed ingredients in below.

  • Egg: I used an organic egg because that’s what I had available, but feel free to use any type of egg you like.
  • Oatmeal:  If you don’t have oatmeal, you can substitute it with flour or bread crumbs. The oatmeal will help the patties hold together.
  • Mushrooms:  Not everyone loves mushrooms. If you don’t like them, feel free to replace them with your favorite vegetable or omit them entirely.
  • Onions: I always dice onions to speed up the cooking process.
  • Salt: Any salt of brand works just fine.
  • Black Pepper: You can add as much pepper you want, if you don’t have regular pepper; simply use the white pepper.
  • Ground Turkey: When purchasing meat, I always choose ground meat with higher fat content. This helps the meat stay firm. However, if you’re watching your weight or on a diet, you can opt for 93% lean. If turkey isn’t available, ground chicken or ground beef are also good alternatives.
  • Sliced Cheese: Use your favorite sliced cheese.
  • Slider Buns: I love using the Hawaiian because it has that sweetness taste and it’s so soft.

How to make the sliders?

The recipe offers detailed step-by-step instructions. Here are some extra tips to keep in mind while making these sliders:

  • In a large bowl, combine all the ingredients, including the ground meat. Mix them thoroughly until well incorporated.
  • After mixing all the ingredients, start shaping small patties. You can choose to make them thick or thin, with the size based on your personal preference.
  • Cook the patties on a non-stick griddle or pan for about 10 minutes, adjusting for thickness. Flip them every 4 minutes. If they’re not cooked to your liking, simply extend the cooking time until they reach your desired doneness
  • Place your preferred cheese on the patties and cook for an additional minute, just until the cheese melts.
  • Once completed, begin assembling the sliders and serve them with fries or any side dish of your choice. Enjoy!

Notes

I usually prepare sliders using a 3-lb pack of turkey instead of the 1 lb option. I create sliders with half of it and mix the remaining turkey with parmesan, breadcrumbs, and Italian spices to make meatballs for the following evening. I cook them immediately on the griddle, then simmer them in sauce for reheating the next night. Leftover sliders reheat nicely in the microwave, making them an excellent lunch option!

I absolutely adore my Lodge LDP3 Cast Iron Rectangular Reversible Grill/Griddle. I purchased it around 7 or 8 years ago, and it’s still perfect for whipping up sliders, grilling chicken, making pancakes, French toast, and so much more. It was definitely money well spent and has fantastic reviews on Amazon. I hope everyone enjoys this recipe!
